Help with seed stitch and increases

I’m finishing off a shaw and the row before is purling across. The next instruction (this is what I don’t understand) is work in seed stitch to the center back stitch, work a closed increase by making a half-hitch on your needle with your working yarn, k1, work a closed increase, work in seed stich to the end.

My question is working in seed stitch? and the increase?

Help please!!!

Seed stitch is a k1, p1 pattern, alternating with each row,
