Help with reading my first knitting pattern

Hello I have just started knitting and I am trying to understand where to measure it from and too. Please can anyone help me? I’ve done the first bit, it’s just the last bit measuring it from I don’t get.

Divide for Fronts and Back Keeping pattern correct cont as follows

Work 19 (21, 23, 25, 27, 29)sts cast off 4 (5, 6, 7, 8, 9)sts work 37 (41, 45, 49, 53, 57)sts

(including cast off st on needle), cast off 4 (5, 6, 7, 8, 9)sts work to the end of the row.

Now work on first set of sts leaving the rest on a spare needle or st holder.

work one row

k2tog at arm edge on next row, then on the 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) alt rows 16 (18, 20, 22, 23, 25)sts

This is the bit I need help with:
Cont. without further shaping until work measures 7.5 (8.5, 9.5, 11.5, 13.5, 15.5)ins 19 (21, 24,

29, 34, 39)cm ending at the front edge

Hello
Your knitting looks very neat and consistent in the tension.

Measuring will be from the bottom of the work, so it’s that cast on edge. Try to place your fabric down flat and smooth it out without stretching it. If you stretch it out at this point your measurement won’t be accurate.
Sometimes as a check for myself I work out how many rows in total I would need to reach the given measurement. You can do this by using the gauge swatch so knowing how many rows equals 10cm.

Hope this helps
