Help with reading chart

I am doing the Throughstone Sweater and in the picture I uploaded, the yoke chart has a single row to the right of the numbers. I am not sure what this is. Counting the numbers in the pattern, the yoke chart I painted over which is outlined in red, correlates perfectly. It is not the steek pattern since there is a separate steek chart. If anyone has experience with this pattern or can tell me what it is I appreciate it. Thanks in advance

From reading the notes of project knitters, it’s a column of edge sts with color changes at the edge of the steek. It looks like it will give an even edge without the stepped line of decreases.

I love the pocket liner detail, beautiful design element.
