Help with Raglan sleeve shaping

I’m looking for help in deciphering the instructions for the sleeves of a sweater I’m knitting. This is a raglan sleeve shape. It reads as follows: bind off 2 sts at beginning of next 2 rows, then decrease 1 st each side at 3 sts from edge every 2nd row. So far this much makes sense to me. However, it then goes on to say: at RHS alternate 1 st and 2 sts 4 times, 1 st 7 times. Bind off 5 sts 2 times, 4 sts once, at LHS alternate 1 st and 2 sts 2 times, 1 st 13 times. Do I follow the first part of the directions and then start decreasing stitches on the RHS in an alternating pattern? Thanks for your help.

Bump …

“…then decrease 1 st each side at 3 sts from edge every 2nd row”

:?? This part appears incomplete to me because it doesn’t say how many times to perform this. I guess I would assume once, but patterns normally specify I think …

At any rate, I would do the first part then start the decreases.

Any one else have any ideas??
