Help with Pullover

"I am deaf and English is kind of hard sometimes, my hubby doesn’t know anything about knitting so is of no assistance…

Below are instructions I have for a pattern I want to make for a pullover, but the instructions are unfamiliar to me. I was hoping someone could help simplify the instructions.

Below is a page from the instructions:

SLEEVES Edging

With smaller needle 4mm/US6, cast on 44 sts

K1, row, p1 row, k1 row.

Body

Change to larger needles. 4.5mm/US7

Row 1 (RS) k

Next (increase) row (RS) K2, work into st below next st then work next st work to 3 sts remaining, work lifted increase, K2.

Work 7 rows straight.

Repeat last 6 rows – 74 sts

Work straight to 15½“ from beginning.

Thanks!

Rexie

Hi Rexie! :waving:

I’m not sure what’s happening here, because I see three rows for a sleeve, and then it says “body”, which is usually the main part of the sweater. Did you write down instructions from two separate sections of your sweater pattern?

Also, is there anything in particular you are having trouble with?

The “Body” here is the Body of the Sleeve, I think.

This is from The Knitting Experience, Book 2: The Purl Stitch, on page 147.

The part I really don’t understand is this:

Next (increase) row (RS) K2, work into st below next st then work next st work to 3 sts remaining, work lifted increase, K2.

Work 7 rows straight.

Repeat last 6 rows – 74 sts

Look at the Increases videos and I think they’re having you do the one that’s called KLL, then KRL.(or vice versa, I get confused as to which is L and which is R). So then k2, inc, knit across to the last 3 sts, inc, k2. Then do 7 rows (or is it 5?) and do another increase row. Repeat.
