Help with pattern

I want to make this scarf and am confused.
First Row: K1, Sl 1, K1, before dropping the slipped stitch from the left needle, knit into the back of it*

It didn’t work for me, think you can tell what I might be doing wrong?

That is confusing. Do you have a link to the pattern or can you let us know where it’s from?

I hopt you will be able to tell me what to do with this.

This is the pattern. I got it off someones Blog in the “What’cha Knitting” section of this site.

•CO 30 stitches

•Row 1: K1, sl 1, K1, psso but before dropping the slipped stitch from the left needle, knit into the back of it repeat until there is one stitch left, K1

•Row 2: P2tog, do not slip stitches off the needle, purl the first stitch again, slip both stitches off needle

•Repeat rows 1 and 2 until you run out of yarn.
•BO.
•Weave in all ends.

This is My So-Called Scarf!

I just bought yarn to make this.

What you didn’t include in the first post was the psso.

On row one: K1, sl1, k1. Lift the stitch you slipped to pass it over the stitch you knit and off the end of the needle, except before you pass it over, knit into the back loop of it.

Row 2: Purl 2 tog, don’t slide off. Slip the needle back into the first stitch on the needle and purl again and then slide them off.

Thank you so much!!
I worked on it this morning and it turned out good with the help of your instructions.
What I did wrong was to completely pull the slipped stitch over and on to the left needle then I couldn’t purl it.
I have only done basic knitting in the past and just picked up my needles after some years.
WELL! Something woke up in me and I can’t get enough of it, and want to learn everything I can :XX:
Thank you so much for taking the time to help me.
