Help with pattern

I am knitting this chevron blanket and don’t understand the directions.
Did row 1-5. Next row is confusing. The ripple pattern is 4 rows but it sounds like it is just one row. Can anyone help!!

NOTE
Blanket is worked back and forth on circular
needle, do not join.
TIPS & HINTS
Join a new ball of yarn when there are color
changes and/or approximately 6” [15 cm] of
yarn left from the old ball. Weave these ends
in neatly on the wrong side of the fabric in a
zig-zag pattern for a few inches, and then trim
off excess.
BLANKET
With A, cast on 150 sts.
Rows 1-5: Work in Garter st (3 ridges).

Cut A and attach B.
Next Row: With B, K3, place marker, work
Ripple Pattern to last 3 stitches, place
marker.

Note: Continue to work K3 on first and last
3 stitches on every row to establish border
pattern and work Ripple Pattern inside markers.
*Continue in pattern until 8 rows (2 repeats)
have been worked.
Next Rows: Cut B and attach C. With C, work
in Garter st 4 rows (2 ridges).
Next Rows: Cut C and attach A. With A, work
in Ripple Pattern until 12 rows (3 repeats)
have been worked.
Next Rows: Cut A and attach C. With C, work
in Garter st 4 rows (2 ridges).
Repeat from * until 7 full repeats have been
worked.
Next Rows: Cut C and attach B. With B, work
8 rows in Ripple Pattern.
Next Rows: Cut B and attach A.
With A, knit 6 rows in Garter st.
*Bind off 6 sts, k2tog, bind off the k2tog;
repeat from *, binding off remaining sts at end.
This keeps bind off from being too loose.

Welcome to KnittingHelp!
It’s not really spelled out but the pattern is giving you the placement of the ripple pattern here:
“Next Row: With B, K3, place marker, work
Ripple Pattern to last 3 stitches, place
marker.”

The directions that follow are telling you to continue with rows 2-4 of the ripple pattern inside the markers:
“Note: Continue to work K3 on first and last
3 stitches on every row to establish border
pattern and work Ripple Pattern inside markers.”

From there on, you follow the given number of rows for each pattern stitch and each color.
Post a photo if you’d like when you finish. We’d love to see the afghan.

This is the ripple pattern. Are you saying I should just do row 2 & 3 for the pattern

RIPPLE PATTERN (over 12 sts)
Row 1: Knit across row.
Row 2: Purl across row.
Row 3: (K2tog) twice, (yo, K1) 4 times,
(K2tog) twice
, repeat from * to end.
Row 4: Knit across row.
Repeat Rows 1-4 for Ripple Pattern.

After the first row that sets the placement of the pattern, you should continue with rows 2, 3 and 4. Then repeat rows 1-4 until you’ve worked 2 full repeats total or 8 rows of the ripple pattern and then continue with the directions that follow…
It would be best to edit your last post to delete the ripple pattern. That way we won’t get into copyright infringement.

Thank you. I understand!!

Hi I am also doing this blanket I have did the row 3 of the pattern but on row 4 I only end up with 114 stitches. By the way I have knit this pattern before and don’t know where I am going wrong. Also can you explain when you say the pattern is knit over 12 stitches (k2tog) twice (yok1) 4 times (k2 tog) twice.

Check that you’re doing the yo correctly. That might be a source of problems. For a yo, bring the yarn to the front and then over the right hand needle to the back. That’s it. It doesn’t use a stitch.
How many sts did you begin the row with?
The repeat will take 12 sts and give you 12sts once it’s completed.
The k2tog twice takes 4sts, The (yo, k1) 4 times takes 4 sts. and the final k2tog twice takes 4 sts (total 12).
The k2tog twice gives you 2sts, the (yo, k1) 4 times gives you 8sts and the final k2tog twice gives you 2 sts for a total of 12sts.

Thank you got sorted was reading the pattern wrong back on track again now
