can someone tell me how to tbl
line reads:

next row (right side) k1, k2tog tbl, k to end.

thanks

tbl means through the back loop so knit two together through the back loops not the front loops

There’s a video forknitting through the back loop
and even though they don’t show knitting 2 tog tbl, I think you’ll get the idea (just kbl through 2 sts together). And besides, the dog at the end of the video is worth it.
