I am new at knitting and am confused. I was reading about a project the other day and it said she knit it in the round and in raglan style. Exactly what does knit in the round mean? and what is raglan style?
Knitting in the round is literally knitting in a circle with all the work being joined. You don’t knit on the back of the work at all and there is no turning at the end of a row. To knit in the round you use circular needles, two circular needles, one long circular needle for magic loop or double pointed needles. All the techniques are in these links.

Raglan seams are those that go from your underarm to the neck on an angle. It’s great way to make sweaters because there is no seaming at the end usually. If any is required it’s usually minimal.
Thank you so much that was so helpful it makes sense now!
