Help with pattern

Hi everyone! I am sure this should be easy but for some reason I have gotten more and more lost as I took this slipper apart to try to figure out the pattern so I could make another pair. My mother made these probably 8-9 years ago and has since passed and I want to make a pair just to kind of honor her. I knit but not great. I know this is a simple pattern but I can’t find anything out there that looks like them so I guess she made them without a pattern. I took them apart because they have gotten worn and damaged (this alone took me 3 hours haha) I thought I’d be able to count stitches and rows and make them but I’m more lost than ever. Does anyone have any ideas from these pics on how I can either find a pattern or can tell me how to make these? I appreciate any help at all. I know that the “rows” of garter count as 2 rows…correct? And I think they may have a crochet edge but not sure.
Thank you!

These are so neatly made and without the usual 2 fake seams either side of the foot. It may well be your mother’s own pattern.
It looks like there are decreases (k2tog and ssk) to shape the toe. The decreases are at the center seam (where you have the safety pins) and the edges.
You could experiment with the frequency of these decreases to shape the toe. They may increase from one at each edge to 2 per edge to close the toe. Then perhaps a gathering of live sts to close (like the top of a hat).
You’re correct that 2 knit rows make up a garter ridge.

Thank you so much! I kept looking at the toe and can almost see a small circle like on a hat. It took me forever to get the courage to take it apart but was getting nowhere just looking at it. With what you gave me I have a starting point! Thank you !!

Keep us up on how it’s going. This is indeed a lovely way to remember and honor your mother.
