Help with pattern

Hi,
I am knitting Yarnspirations Knit Asymmetrical Shawl. It is the shawl that uses Caron Latte Cake yarn. The instructions say to move center st marker each row as work progresses. Does that mean when working row 7 I knit to one st before marker, kfb, k1 and then place marker? And then in row 8 do I knit to marker move marker to right needle P1?
Thanks in advance for help

For this shawl the marker is actually on a stitch, the center stitch. That’s why you have to move it each row unlike a marker on the needle which is slipped on each row.
On row 7, knit to one st before the marker, kfb. The next stitch is the center marked stitch. Knit it and place the marker on the stitch.
On row 8, the p1 is the center marked stitch. After several rows, the marked stitch which seems to be in stockinette will stand out and you may not need to move the marker each row.

Thanks Salmonmac for your prompt reply.
You always give me just the right answer😀

I’m not sure that it’s always the right answer but together we can figure it out. Thank you.
