Hi I’m knitting a baby blanket and am struggling with the left hand side of the heart pattern. I know it’s to do with “yrn” when followed by a knit stitch. I’ve tried numerous times and just can’t grasp it. Also when I get to row 25 where yrn appears for the start of a new heart row 26 is not correct when I get to the this part. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Since the yarn overs are between 2 knit sts, you can work a simple yo. Bring the yarn to the front between the needles then over the right needle to the back. You just want to create a new loop over the needle (a new stitch) each time. In each case this balances out the decreases in the row so the stitch numbers stays the same.
Yrn is usually used before a purl stitch so that the yarn over creates a new stitch and eyelet, and the yarn is in place to purl.
