Help with pattern please

Hi, I was wondering if you could help with this part of a pattern for a sleeve.

Following my 9 rows of rib and starting with 33 stitches.
I am doing the middle size.

Next row increase.
Rib 1 (5:2), *inc in next stitch, rib 3 (1:1), rep from * to last 2 (6:3) sts, inc in next st, rib to end. 39 (45:51) sts.

I can’t seem to get this right to end up with the 45 stitches I should have.

Anyone?

It may be the way that you’re doing the increase. When the pattern says to “increase [I]in[/I] the next stitch” the easiest increase to do is a knit front and back (kfb). That’ll use the next stitch and give you the increase. If you do that, the pattern works out to 45sts by the end.
