Help with Pattern, Please!

Pattern says Rib 3, *inc in next st, rib 1; rep from * to last 4 sts, inc in next st, rib to end (110) stitches — I am starting with 75 stitches.

I did the rib 3 (k, p, k), then I increased in next stitch and rib 1 and continued to do that to the last 4 stitches and then I increased in next stitch and ribbed to end. I had 144 stitches. Could you please tell me what I did wrong and how I get to the 110 stitches. Many thanks.

How did you increase? When a pattern says to inc [I]in[/I] a st it means a kfb or pfb. If you did a m1 instead, you wouldn’t be spacing the increases 2 sts apart, but every other stitch which is what I think you did.
