I am looking at this scarf too.
it seems like a simple pattern. I tried it but k1 yo2 do that until the sixth row and then start it again until desired length.the scraf is going to be a wide as my house? What am I not understanding?
Thank you Lori

You drop the YO sts on the next row -
“Knit 6th Row, dropping YO stitches as you go”

Don’t forget that you are knitting rows 1-4, then row 5 is k1, yo2 over all the sts, row 6 you drop the yo sts. It isn’t rows 1-5 doing k1, yo2 across

Yes, Row 6 gets rid of the extra stitches you put on row 5. Sometimes the decrease isn’t in the same row.
