Help With Modding a Cropped Hoodie Pattern

Hi all,
I found this pattern in Vogue Knitting International Winter 2008/09 and I love it, but I would love it even more if I could mod it so the body was full length instead of cropped at the chest.

Do you think that’s possible? The body’s cuff is knit sideways, then you pick up stitches on one side and knit flat up from there using short rows.
Could I just knit in the round in stockinette until it’s the length I want, and then start the short rows?

confused
Here’s what the hoodie looks like. I’d copy the pattern down, but I’m pretty sure that’s illegal hahah.

Any help at all would be appreciated

Thank you

Yeah, you can try that; knit the lower band, and pick up sts then knit in stockinette to about the under arm. Then follow the directions from there. The short rows are for shaping the curve along the bottom edge, so you would follow probably do them there, and knit straight up after that. Interesting sweater, but so are a lot of them that appear in Vogue.

That is a neat looking sweater. I like the off center buttons. It sounds like it would work the way Sue said.
