I have cast on 108 stitches & worked two rows.
3rd row tells me to *K3tog, [K1, yfwd] twice, K1, K3tog, rept from * to end (84) stitches.
I end up with too many stitches each time I try.
I understand the knit 3 together, but what how does K1, yfwd work?
When you bring the yarn forward between the needles and knit the next stitch, you get a yarn over.
K3tog, [K1, yfwd] twice, K1, K3tog
It could be that you’re not working the k3tog twice in a row?
Written out more the pattern would be
k3tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k3tog, k3tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k3tog, k3tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k3tog, k3tog, k1, yo, k1, yo, k1, k3tog
etc
