Hi everyone I am knitting up a pair of baby mittens for a shower present from a free pattern site. Here is the link:
http://www.craftown.com/knit/knit48.htm If you look at the pattern for the blue mittens you will notice in the instructions it says:
Beading Row: K 1, * you, k 2 tog, k 1, repeat from * to end.
Do they mean yarn over instead of you :??
or is it like yarn over under or something like that… and if so what do they mean? How?
Also when working the hand part of the mitten it says to knit 23 rows garter stitch ( If I am working in the round ( two circ method) does that mean I Knit one row purl one row like stockinette)
Im confused and if this is the case why is it different when working in the round???
And finally when using the two circ method you divide the cast on stitches in half but my pattern calls for an odd number of cast on stitches - 37 to be exact. Will it matter if I have one more stitch on one side than the other side?
