Help with knitted baby romper pattern - decrease row

Hi, i am making a knitted baby romper. I am stuck on a section of the pattern which reads:

Next row (dec):: K3, K2tog, K to last 5 sts, K2tog tbl, K3, 65 sts.
Cont in St st, dec as above on every foll 14th row until 59 sts rem.
Cont straight until work meas 30.5 cm from cast on edge, ending with RS facing for next row.

I have done Row 1: K3, K2tog etc but i am stuck when it says “Cont in St st…” - What is every “14th row”?

Thanks

Thanks

Welcome to KH!
Decrease at each end of the row on every 14th row. If you call the first decrease row, row 1 then you would dec on rows 1,15,29 and 43.

Thank you for the reply but could I check whether I need to do the following:

Row 1: K3, K2tog, K to last 5 sts, K2tog tbl, K3.
Row 2: I just Purl?
Row 3: I just Knit?
Row 4 up to Row 13 I alternate between Purl and Knit until I reach 14th row where I do the decrease row (i.e repeat Row 1?)

That’s it exactly. No decreases in the rows other than the ones I noted above until you get to the next instruction.

You’re a star, thanks. Will give it a go!
