Hi I’m a new poster to this site, however not new to the site. Love it, always helpful. Anyway, here is my question. What do they mean by K3 in center stitch :?? . Do I knit stitch to right needle than bring it back to the left needle and knit it again 3 times?
Help with K3 in center stitch
Hi…
You would knit 3x’s into that one center stitch…In other words…knit the center stitch but don’t take it off the left needle, knit it again, then knit it one last time…the last time you knit it (3rd time) then move the stitch to the right needle. Hope this helps!
KNITBIT
So that would mean increasing 3 stitches?
Actually, you end up with two additional stitches. The third would be the original stitch. You start with one stitch and end up with three… clear as mud?
Here is the pattern. It is to make a heart. I don’t understand when I do it it doesn’t look correct.
cast on 9 sts.
Rows 1-3: K1, YO, K across to center stitch, K3 in center stitch, K across til 1 loop remains on needle, YO, K1 turn.
When I get to K3 in center stitch I left it on the needle knitted the stitch 3 times. When I go back to do row 2 when I get to the the three stitches they kind of just unwrap when I knit them. What am I doing wrong?
For the k3 in centre stitch, you will need to knit in the front of the stitch, the back of the stitch, and then in the front again to make the three stitches. That way when you return to them, they won’t “fall off”.
