Hi there, I’m working on the Modern Aran Gauntlet pattern from Vogue Knitting Mittens and Gloves and am struggling to understand one area of the pattern. In the attached picture, you’ll see that rnd 10 leaves you with 124 sts. My confusion is coming in rnd 11. I’m fine up until I get to the “Cont in pats as established…” bit because this seems to be the start of a new rnd? To me it isn’t clear, though, how many additional rounds it wants precisely. So am I correct in reading that it wants me to continue to rnd 16, do the decreases, then do another 16 rnds in established pats and decrease again, then do another 8 rnds and decrease (which would i believe indeed put me at the 94 sts it wants?) and then lastly work chart 4 three times? Thanks in advance for your help. I don’t know why the way this is written is just not computing fully in my brain. I guess I’m more used to specific instruction telling me “do x number of repeats”, etc.
Yes, continue pattern as established is the start of a new round.
Work 15 rounds and decrease on round 16 and again on round 32 and finally round 40.
It does sound like work chart 4 twice ending on round 1 of the 3rd repeat. This is worked without decreases.
ETA: I’m not sure if you have a corrected version but there is a new chart listed on Vogue errata page. Is this the same glove pattern?
