Help with error code

My sister-in-law wound up with a Brother 930, which she had in her basement, which flooded, which got the machine wet. My husband thinks mechanically it can be salvaged, but doesn’t know about the computer. He plugged it in and turned it on and the code 888 came up. none of the buttons work- or seem to anyway. Does anyone know anything about this, or have any idea who we could contact for help?

the good news is that the g-carriage and ribber were undamaged. Some consolation, eh?

thanks
Martha

Is this a knitting machine? I don’t know if this will help, but this appears to be a manual.

Thanks. I have a manual (well, the same one online). It doesn’t show an 888 error code in the book. Guess I’ll go to plan B.

I know nothing about knitting machines but this is what a quick Google search pulled up:

I don’t know if that makes any sense to you but I hope you can salvage the machine!

WOW! Thanks!
