Help with different bind off

Knitting directions say “BO purlwise while working p1, then [p2tog, p1] to end”. I cannot figure how to do this. Anyone come across this before? Need help to finish this sundress. diane

“BO purlwise while working p1, then [p2tog, p1] to end”.

Appears you’ll P1, then P2tog. Lift the first st on your right ndl over the st that resulted from the P2tog. Rep that seq until all sts BO.

‘[p2tog, p1]’ just shows that you’ll be alternating between the P2tog and P1.

Thanks, Cam I am still fairly new to knitting and sometimes it is hard to figure out the directions and when you do it is like UREKA.
