Help with Debbie Bliss Pattern

Hello,

I’m knitting a baby sweater from Debbie Bliss’s [I]Essential Baby[/I]. I’m working on the shawl collar sweater and hit a snag trying to read her directions. Here is what she has written:

“Dec 1 st at neck edge on next row and 3 foll 4th rows.”

I’m not sure if she means dec 1 st every fourth row or 1 st for the next 4 rows. Please help!

You decrease on the next row, (we’ll call that row 1) and then on rows 5, 9, and 13.
