Help with debbie bliss baby v neck

Hi I’m hoping for some help with Debbie bliss baby knits for beginners v neck sweater with pockets

Back pattern reads:
With 3mm (US 2) needles and C, cast on 66( 74: 82) sts.
1st rib row K2, * p2, k2; rep from * to end.
2nd rib row P2, * k2, p2; rep from * to end.
Change to M. Rep the last 2 rows twice more.
Change to 3 ¼ mm (US 3) needles.
Beg with a k row, work in st st until back measures 15( 16: 18) cm/ 6( 6 ¼: 7) in from cast-on edge, ending with a p row.

Shape armholes
Cast off 3 sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Next row K2, skpo, k to last 2 sts, k2tog, k2.
Next row P to end.
Rep the last 2 rows 2( 3: 4) times. 54( 60: 66) sts.
Cont in st st until back measures 26( 28: 32) cm/ 10 ¼( 11: 12 ½) in from cast-on edge, ending with a p row.
Shape shoulders
Cast off 13( 14: 15) sts at beg of next 2 rows.
Leave rem 28( 32: 36) sts on a stitch holder.

In the shape armholes section what does the sentence in bold mean? If I knit to the last two stitches there won’t be enough stitches to k2tog and then knit two?

Thank you

Welcome!
This is a mistake in the pattern. It should be knit to the last 4sts, k2tog, k2.
It’s covered here in the errata for Baby Knits for Beginners:
