Hello, I’m knitting in the round for the first time and hope somebody can please help me on the pattern as I have got a little confused!
It is a hood down poncho for a baby - I can’t post the link unfortunately as I’m new here! I have completed the first hood section back and forth, with 3 garter stitches each end and moss stitch in the center, and just placed my markers but have come unstuck at this instruction; Continue in stocking st back and forth on needle with 3 garter sts each side towards mid front.
Now, does this mean to continue with the 3 garter stitches I have been doing on each end already - as these will be in the center front of the poncho once I join them to begin knitting the body in the round? Or do I start knitting them in the center of the flat piece - this seems odd to me as it doesn’t correlate with any of the markers I have just added in and once joined in the round will be at the back?
Sorry if this is really obvious, I’m quite new to knitting.
Any guidance would be very much appreciated!
Kind regards
Heidi
