Hi all please help i’m not sure what type of cast on to use for this button hole.This is what the instruction are:
Buttonhole Row (WS): K3, bind off next 2 sts, k to end of row.
Next Row: K, cast on 2 sts over bound-off sts of previous row

That means You cast off like you normally do when you cast off and cast on like you normally do when you cast on.
This is how I do it.
(RS)You knit to the 5 stitches and you cast off 2 stitches, use the method I had explaned above knit to the end.
(WS) when you come that space off stitches cast on 2 stitches also the way I mentioned above and purl or carry on what stitch you doing and finish that row.

You wouldn’t want to use a LT cast on though, use a knit or cable cast on. Move the right needle to your left hand, cast on 2 sts, then move it back to the right hand and finish the row, then knit the 2 sts on the next row.
