Help with Bobble

I am working on a scarf in the Rowan Ribbon Twist book.

I have to make a bobble. How do I do this??

Here is the pattern:

MB = make bobble as folls:(K1,yfwd,K1,yfwd,K1) all onto next st,turn,K5,turn,P5 turn,K5 turn, slip next 2 sts,K3tog,pass 2 slipped sts over. bobble complete.

Please help!

What your doing when you make a bobble is to increase several stitches into one stitch, then knit just those back and forth before decreasing back to one.

In this case, in one stitch, knit, but don’t slide it off, bring the yarn forward between the needles and knit into the same stitch again, but don’t slide it off. Bring the yarn forward a final time and knit into the same stitch again, and slide it off. You’ll now have 5 stitches where you had one.

From there you turn your work, knit those 5, turn again and purl those 5, turn the work and do the decrease as they describe it. You’ll be back to one stitch again.
