Help with blanket pattern

I want to knit a blanket that ends up being 90 inches by 90 inches and plan to use this pattern http://knitting.about.com/library/bltwinrib.htm.
I was thinking about maybe doing two panels ( each 45 * 90 ) and then sewing the two panels together. However, I can’t find a stitch that would create an invisible seam on both sides. Is there one? Or should I just find a really LONG circular needle to hold 90 inches worth of cast ons? Any help would be greatly appreciated…thanks!!!

I like the long needle idea. 90 inches of sseaming would just about do me in. I can’t make a link here at work, but if you google ‘edge-to-edge seaming’ you’ll find a site that shows a way to do what you want, should you decide to bite the bullet.
