Help with blanket pattern

As usual when starting anew project, there is always a part of the pattern I don’t understand since I am a beginner. I have this pattern.

Cast on 110 sts.
Work 9 rows in garter st (knit every row), noting that
first row is WS and inc 10 sts evenly across last row.
120 sts.
1st row: (RS). Knit.

What I am a little fuzzy in is the whole WS and RS thing. I did the first part of casting on and the first 9 rows but I am unsure what it means when it says (RS) knit?

okay the very first row you do after you cast on is a “wrong side” row. you are then knitting 9 rows. the 10th row should be the “right side” or the side that would be showing if it were, for example, a sweater. For me, i can never remember that so i clip a stitch marker somewhere on the right side so that i always know where i am as I am working.
