Help with Berroco Mabe sweater pattern

I am making the Berroco Mabe pattern in the smallest size, and I have finished the lace pattern for the yoke. The pattern says to work in St st until yoke measures 7 1/2 inches. It then lists increase rounds for some other sizes (not mine). Following that, it says to work even in St st until yoke measures 8 1/2 inches. I am totally confused! Do I do St st until the yoke measures 7 1/2 or 8 1/2 before I start the short rows?

Is the 8 1/2 inches for a different size? You can post a line or two of the pattern here. I found this in comments on the Ravelry page. “For help with this Berroco patterns please reach out to patternsupport@berroco.com” Hopefully you can get this resolved here quickly; if not then maybe someone from Berroco can help.

The first part says to knit until yoke measures 71/2 for the smallest size. Then the increase rounds are listed for some sizes (not mine), and then it says FOR ALL SIZES and the instructions say to knit to 8 1/2 stitches for the smallest size.

"Work even from here in St st until yoke measures (7 1/2, 8, 8 1/2, 9…) from cast-on.

The next sections lists increase rounds for larger sizes than mine, then the following section says

“For ALL sizes: Work even in St st until yoke measures (8 1/2, 9, 9 1/2…) from cast on edge of neckband, measured from beg-of-rnd.”

I think I’ve figured it out…

Thank you for your help!!

Hello
It will be 8.5 inch total for your size. For your size it seems a little odd to work then do nothing different thento continue to work but that’s what will be happening, just because they need to pause the instruction at that point for the other size instructions.

Hope it goes well.
