Help with "as they are presented"

Hi everyone! I’m trying to figure out this pattern which goes like this:

Row 1 : knit

Row 2 : purl

Row 3 / Row 5 : * 5 purl / 4 knit * repeat

Row 4 / Row 6 : as they are presented

Repeat Row 1 - 6

What I don’t get is what does “as they are presented” mean? What do I do next?

Thanks for your help.

Monica

Could they mean to purl the purls and knit the knits?

Then the pattern would look like this if ‘as they are presented’ means you do the same thing as you see it… but that can’t be right because the stitch pattern below looks odd…

Row 1 : knit

Row 2 : purl

Row 3 * 5 purl / 4 knit * repeat

row 4: as they are presented: * 5 purl / 4 knit * repeat

Row 5 : * 5 purl / 4 knit * repeat

Row 6 : as they are presented: * 5 purl / 4 knit * repeat

Repeat Row 1 - 6

What I don’t get is what does “as they are presented” mean? What do I do next?

If this helps, the pattern is here: http://knit-happens.blogstream.com. I don’t know how to make a link. Sorry.

I’m pretty sure that ‘as they are presented’ would mean to knit the knits and purl the purls.

What you need to remember is that when you turn your work at the end of the row, the stiches that you knit will be purls on the other side.

So:
Row 3 * 5 purl / 4 knit * repeat
Row 4 * 4 purl / 5 knit * repeat

Make sense?

I agree with AnreeAce. Knit the knits and purls as they face you.

Thanks to everyone for their help. I really appreciate it. I had no idea what to do next but now I do! :happydance:
