Please help I am VERY new to knitting. I would like to make a complete project by Christmas. The problem I am having right now is an instruction for a garter and lace wrap. I am using a US 9 (5.5) needle and medium weight yarn. The instruction reads “K3, *yo, P the next st and the next yo together, K3…” my problem is I don’t know what they mean by the “…and the next yo together” yo what together? the next st after the one I just purled? and if its one st what am I yarning it together with? I am so confused. any help would be MUCH appreciated, thanks
The yo means yarn over. You wrap the yarn over your needle. Then knit 2 sts together.
I hope that was helpful for you:)
There may have been a YO on the previous row, so you would purl the next st and the yo together. If this is the first row of the pattern, then just p2tog.
