Help with a pattern

I’m new to knitting and making a hat for the first time. I have just switched to double pointed needles and my pattern reads:
Rnd 1: K3, K3 tog, YO, K1, YO, slip 1 as if to knit, K2 tog, PSSO, * K4, K3 tog, YO, K1, YO, slip 1 as if to knit, K2 tog, PSSO; repeat from * around to last st, K1: 90 sts.

I don’t understand what K1: 90 sts means?

Can anyone help please?

The 90 at the end is how many stitches you should have after you finish the row.

What pattern are you doing? Can you link it?

It is telling you that after you’ve completed this row you will have 90 sts on your needles.
