I am trying to write up a hat pattern for a friend. And am having trouble wording part of it. Being a fairly new knitter I don’t know if there is a standard techneique for this that has a short hand or just a better way to word it but here is my try at it. Tell me what you think and how I could make it more clear.
Knit into a picked up stitch: When joining the cast on edge to the working edge to form a pocket for the bill of the hat you will be knitting together each stitch of the working edge with a stitch from the cast on edge. To do this, go into the next stitch as normal but before wrapping the yarn insert the needle into a hole in the cast on edge as if picking up a stitch, wrap yarn and pull though. This will connect the cast on edge to the working edge and allow you to continue knitting.
