Okay the pattern reads
1st row:(WS). K4. (P2. K2) 5 times.* K3. (K2. P2) 5 times. K3. Rep from * twice more, then from * to ** once. K4.
2nd and alt rows: K4. Knit all knit sts and purl all purl sts as they appear to last 4sts. K4.
So I realize that on the even rows I have to purl or knit the stiches when they show up. That basically I do the previous row backwards. Now the part that I am having trouble with is since the first row is labbelled as wrong side is it the first row I knit the wrong side or should do the cast on row and then do a straight knit or purl row and then the next row is my row one of the pattern?
