Help with a pattern, please?

I’m knitting a dress for my DD and I’m stuck.

The pattern says, “Next row: K5 Purl to last st. K1.
Next row:K1. Sl1. K1. psso. Knit to last 3 sts. (Yfwd. K2tog) buttonhole made. K1.
Working a buttonhole every 12th row, repeat last 2 rows to 13 sts on needle, ending with right side facing for next row. Cast off.”

I’m fine with most of that, until I get to “Working a buttonhole every 12th row.”

What do I do with the last 3 sts on the rows without buttonholes? Just knit them?

Do whatever you did before the buttonholes, which should probably be knit.
