This is going to sound ridiculous maybe make you laugh Ever place the lets say blanket your knitting down, come across it a couple years later, no pattern attached or yarn label…yup that’s me, its about half way, it think, like brioche or fishermen’s rib although it only consists of k1, sl1 (wyf)
'The stitch that is slipped is a purl stitch, can’t figure out how the first rows started, not the best at reading knitting
Can anyone help me please
Help what pattern is k1, sl1 (wyif) rept
Yes, many times!
I presume it’s knitted flat – Is the stitch pattern k1, sl1 (wyf) on the right side, or both? If different, can you tell what the stitch pattern is on the wrong side?
Oh, also, if you can manage to post a photo, that would be great. (I realise it’s not always easy/possible to post photos.)

Same on each side, which I think you can see in photos
Thank you for your kindness by beginning your reply with “yes, many times”
Honestly the same colour
Why would they should up so differently i am sorry, should I attempt again?
No, that looks good.
I am not sure what stitch it might be, but I am sure other folks here will be able to help once they see the photos.
Hi there. My research shows….sl1(slip one stitch) wyf(with yarn in front) hope this helps
It looks like double knitting (double-sided). See if the steps in this video seem familiar.
It’ll be a double-sided knit fabric, very nice for a blanket.
Thank you for taking the time and reassuring me
I am unable to reply on site, so sorry
I appreciate everyone’s help
Oh my heavens, I think your correct
Thank you for taking time to help me I appreciate it so very much
Thank you for your research and help
I hope the double knitting technique works. Have fun finishing up this project. So satisfying to see a UFO (unfinished object) completed. And please let us see a photo of the finished work. We love to see finished projects!
@Chicklette I have also used a similar pattern called tubular knitting on straight needles.
On a smaller scale it is great for pouches or bags.
This bag was created in a similar way.
I have two hats on the needles for too long now, so long now that I have forgotten how I intended to work the crown decreases.
I hope your project is suitable identified and you can now complete it.
Thank you so much, I appreciate sharing the same issue with me, not feeling alone I think thats what helps us all try to share and try our best to relate and help each other
Thank you for the link
Very much appreciated
