On the left front of a cardigan, I bound/cast off stitches at the beginning of a row to shape the neck. For the right front, the pattern says “work to correspond to left front, reversing shaping.”
I think that means I bind/cast off stitches at the END of the row. But how do I cast off the last stitch?
You almost always bind off sts at the beginning of the row. So if you cast off for one side on the front or public side of the piece, you reverse the shaping by casting of as you start the wrong or private side of the piece. Technically your sweater fronts will be off by one row, but it’ll never show up. Really. Good luck with the cardigan!
I was having the same problem with a sweater I am making. I tried going to the knitting store where I bought the wool and they are not opened anymore. I didn’t know what to do. Thank you so much for the help.
