Help reading a pattern - Left Half of Heel Christmas Stocking

I am knitting a Christmas stocking and came to a part in the pattern that I just don’t understand.

Here it is:

Slip last 13 sts to free needle for left of heel
Left half of heel - Beg on wrong side, join white.
Row 1 - Purl
Row 2 - Sl 1, k 12. Repeat these rows 8 times - 18 rows on heel

Turn heel as follows: P2, p2 tog, p 1, turn; slip 1, k 3, turn; p 3, p 2 tog, p 1, turn; slip 1, k 4; turn; p 4, p 2 tog, p 1, turn; slip 1, k 5, turn; p 5, p 2 tog, p 1, turn; slip 1, k 6; turn; p 6, p 2 tog, p 1; 8 sts. Break yarn, place sts on thread.

I am having trouble starting with the “turn heel as follows”. I’m not sure what the 8 sts is suppose to look like at the end.

Any help would be very appreciated.

Thanks

Welcome to KH!
It looks like one-half of a short row heel. This video shows a complete short row heel but it’ll give you an idea of what the 8sts will look like.

Thank you for your help. I was able to figure it out. This is my first knitting project so I’m just getting used to the terminology. The videos on this site have helped a bunch!

Thanks again
