Could anyone help me understand some instructions in a (style craft stars DK 8952) pattern please? I’m making the 3/4 sleeve version in the 4th size and have knitted the 1st 7 rows of the 1st sleeve. As stated in the pattern I start row 8 with 57 stitches, and am supposed to end row 8 with 49 stitches. However, the instructions say:
8th row P5[7:9:10:11], p2tog, (p3, p2 tog) 7 times, P5[7:9:10:11]. 39 [43:47:49:51] Sts.
I have no idea what to do in order to loose my 8 stitches. Help?
I’m guessing you’re doing the second largest size? If so:
Purl 10, purl two together, then (purl 3, purl 2 together) 7 times, then purl the last 10 stitches. You lose 1 stitch when you do the first p2tog, then 7 more when you do the instructions in brackets.
