Help please

Im a new knitter, and I want to make a blanket that calls for
MK+ p2tog without slipping sts off needle. then k2tog over same st.

can someone Please explain this out for me??
thank you in advance

It is confusing. Where it the pattern from? Do you have a link?

I tried this as it is written, just out of curiosity and this is what I came up with.

Do a M1 stitch in the bar between the stitches, but don’t slide it off. (lift the bar between the stitches with your left needle and knit into the back of it.)

Bring your yarn between the needles to the front and p the two next loops that are on the needle together but don’t slide it off.

Bring the yarn to the back, and knit these two together again, and then slide everything off.

It was very tight on the yarn and needles I tried this on, and it’s hard to see what it’s supposed to look like just doing it once, but this is what I came up with.

its a free pattern on the bernat Softee Baby wool

Stitch glossary MK= p2tog without slipping sts off needle, then k2tog over same st.

1st row: (rs) with a Knit
2nd row: p1, (MK)90 times
3rd row: with MC, knit
4th row: (MK)90 times, p1

Ooooooh! There’s a big difference between MK + p2tog, etc. and
MK = p2tog.

So MK means make knot, I imagine.

So you p2tog and don’t slip the stitches that you purled together off the needle. Move the yarn to the back between the needles and knit these two stitches together. Then slide them off.

thank you so much!

thank you Ingrid, that is perfect
