Please someone help me.
I’m planning on knitting this pattern
I have 12mm needles (17) and two skeins of Seriously Chunky yarn (one skein 100g 48 m). Can I make this cawl so I can wrap it twice around my neck or 2 skeins are too short? And if I can how many stiches should I cast on? Thank you!
I don’t think two skeins would be enough. If you want to wrap it around twice, I would just double the number of stitches to cast on.
Good luck!
Probably the best thing to do is to make a swatch in pattern and see how many sts or rows will give you the length that you want. Given the yardage in the pattern, you’ll be able to estimate the number of skeins that you’ll need.
I love that cowl! I have it in my queue.
Thank you everybody for your answers. I’ve knitted the cowl as described in the pattern (the shorter one) and I’m very happy the way it turned out! I’ve knitted it in only one day.

Can anybody suggest me super chunky yarn? (for needles 15 or 17) I would like new yarn that is in the same price range and thickness as Seriously Chunky yarn, but that it has a bit of wool (Seriously Chunky yarn is 100% Acrylic)
Thank you!
That looks luscious! You’ve done a beautiful job on the cowl and it looks cozy and warm.
Webs has some nice super chunky yarn including this bargain Feza Just Wool on sale, no less. Colors are neutrals.
Thank you. This is the first time i used chunky yarn (and I love it, it’s such a easy knit) and also first time I followed a patter or made drop stitch anything.
Thank you for the suggestion on the yarn. Unfortunately shipping to my country is over 10 dollars.
