Next row: Cast on 9 (11-11) sts (sides). Knit these sts. P1. Knit to last st. P1. Turn. Cast on 9 (11-11) sts. 26 (32-32) sts.
Next row: Knit.
I’m confused again. Do I knight ALL the stitches on the row, then start a new row and purl 1 and cast on 9 more…
OR do I knit to the second from the last stitch, purl the last stitch then start a new row and cast on 9…
or what???
Could somebody PLEASE explain this row to me?!?
Here is a link to the whole pattern: http://www.michaels.com/art/online/projectsheet?pid=e03952
THANKS for any help on this,
sue
Okay at this point you have either 8 or 10 sts already on the needle. Turn for a new row and CO 9 or 11 at the beg of the row, and knit them; p1 of the old sts, then k the old sts to the last one and p it too. That finishes that row. Turn and CO 9 or 11 sts at the beg of the next row, and you’ll have 26 or 32 sts total. Knit across all the stitches.
Thanks, I think the word -turn- confused me because I would already be at the end of the row. Why don’t they just say “cast on 9 stitches at the beginning of next row”?
ahh. I think I need to go to bed.
Anyway…thankyou so much for your help… I did that and it is coming along fine so far.
