Ok so I found this pattern to make Marvin the manicly depressed robot. The head worked fine, but when I got to the instructions for the body I ran into some trouble.

CO 25
work 6 rows in st st straight
dec 1 at each end of next and every foll RS row
leaving a border of 2 white sts on each side, work a black intrasia triange, keeping decs correct, untill 9 sts rem
work rows even
[B]dec 1 at each end of next and every foll RS row to 25 sts[/B]
work 6 rows even

How can I decrease from 9 to 25? Did she mean increase? But if I increase, won’t that give poor Marvin an hourglass figure? Help please.

It does seem like it might be a pattern error. :?? Can you email the person who wrote it? Her email is on the page you linked to.

There’s an error somewhere. I suspect your highlighted line is there by mistake. It sounds like it would work without it.:shrug:

It does sound like a typo - if you were to [B]inc[/B] until you have 25 sts, you’d have the same amount you started with, which makes more sense.

Thank’s guys, I think for now I’ll just leave that bit out and see what happens :slight_smile:
