Help, please! I don not understand this instruction!

Hello! I have the instructions for my sleeves that I just don’t understand! Please, can anybody help me :clap:t4:?
Here is the link to this free pattern: Ravelry: Bacca pattern by Berroco Design Team

The instruction is:

Inc Row (RS): K1, M1L, work to last st, M1R, k1 – 2 sts
inc’d. Rep Inc Row every 2½(1½-1¼-1-1- ¾- ¾)” 6(9-
12-15-14-17-20) times more, working incs into Pat
St – 65(71-77-83-87-93-99) sts. Work even until sleeve
measures 17” from beg, end with a WS row. Bind off.

My questions are:
When it says “work to last st” should I be working on the pattern stitch or should i repeat the “K1, M1L” (but it doesn’t have a *) ?
The other question is: if it’s supposed to be “to the last stitch” where do I do the “M1R, K1”? Should I leave two stitches before finishing the row to do “M1R, K1”?

Thank you very much!
I know this must be obvious but this is my first sweater and I’m struggling :weary:!!

This video shows how to work the M1L & M1R increases.
You begin the row with a K1 followed by m1l which you will see on the video uses the bar lying between the 1st and 2nd sts.You then work through the rest of the row in pattern up to the last st where you work the m1r using the bar before the last st,then you finish with K1.
Hoping this helps, enjoy your knitting :grinning:
