But when I pick the stitches up along the side they are big and loose and they look crummy. I tried slipping the first stitch. If I go to the row below that last stitch to pick it up it leaves a bump.
What am I doing wrong? How do I fix it. The wool is Sisik by Dalegarn (Norway) 30% wool, 30% mohair 34% arrylic, 5% rayon (viscose).
Working stitchs up the right front neck edge and picking up stitches all around the collar. Then doing a rib for the collar.
Starting with 50 sts, I decreased one stitch on neck edge next 5 rows then on following alt rows until there are 38 sts. This does mean all the decreases are on the neck edge. Right ?? First 5 rows one after another then every other row? Right ??
( I do decrease one stitch into the row instead of the first stitch). Continued stockenette another two inches.
