I re-started with my sweater for DS and i’m trying to work on this raglan sweater pattern. My stitches are not decreasing correctly so i’m wondering if i’m doing it wrong or if there is a flaw in the pattern.
the pattern:
(61 sts on needle)
- Armhole shaping. Cast off 3 sts at beginning of next 2 rows.
- Dec 1 st at armhole end(s) of every 3rd row 8 times.
- Then Dec 1 st at armhole end(s) of every 2nd row 5 times.
(33 sts remaining)
So my problem…Is 33 sts remaining right? Because if i start with 61 sts, work the pattern like it says, i keep ending up with 29 sts.
61sts on needleMINUS a total of 6sts for the Cast off 3 sts at beginning of next 2 rows MINUS a total of 16sts for the Dec 1 st at armhole end(s) of every 3rd row 8 times MINUS a total of 10 sts for the Dec 1 st at armhole end(s) of every 2nd row 5 times I end up with 29 sts
I dunno maybe i’m doing the decreases all wrong :wall: Can somone PLEASE HELP I’m right about to pull my hair out with this :hair:
THANKS
