Help on SSK abbreviation

I’m following a sock pattern that states:

“Knit to 3 sts before marker, k2t, k1, (slip marker) K1, Ssk 2tog”

my question is: after slipping the marker, do I just do a regular SSK (which results in a decrease of 1)? Or is it an SSK, plus K2tog, resulting in a decrease of 2 total?

I can’t tell if this was a typo or not. The abbreviations in the pattern mention “SSK” and “K2Tog” but not “SSK 2tog”.

TIA!
Pam

i would guess that it is just slip slip knit two together. like the regular SSK

That would be my guess too, but it’s sure a weird way to write it. Do you have 3 stitches after the marker? If so, then I’d say for sure it’s just K1, SSK after slipping the marker.

Thanks. This is the decrease for the toe, so I’m just going around and around until I get to a certain number of stitches.

oh yeah. then for sure they just mean an SSK and they have a strange way of writing it.

That’s what I was hoping. Thanks all!
