[/b] Sweater can be found at http://cache.lionbrand.com/patterns/kfw-aransweater.html

At first you can think about it this way–the purls from the front will be knit in the back, and the pattern stitches will be purled.

As you go along and you can see the stitches, though, it should become clear which are knit and which are purled–just knit the knits and purl the purls.

Thanks for the help.It was realy throwing me off trying to understand pattern. I had emailed the website about pattern and they have just now replied. I definatly had it wrong. Between you and their email I see where I messed up with row2 :happydance: I would k1 at beg. and purl all st,k1 at end for row2. I sure am glad I found this site I have not picked up my Knitting needles in 6 yrs. been crocheting and I had found this pattern and realy wanted to make the sweater. I see that I’m rusty from neglecting my knitting :wall: I forgot how fun it can be.
